drivingschool.nu is an English-language guide to getting a Swedish driving license. It is written for people who live in Sweden and read English more easily than Swedish: newcomers, international students and anyone with a license from another country.
What you find here
- A page for each municipality that lists the driving schools in Transportstyrelsen’s (the Swedish Transport Agency’s) published register of approved educators, with address, phone number and Google rating where one exists.
- Lesson prices converted to an hourly rate and an estimated total cost for a standard license package. Schools with a published price are ranked by that estimate, lowest first, and schools without one are listed after them. The note under each table explains how the estimate is calculated.
- Guides to the theory test, the driving test, the eye test, risk training, private practice with a supervisor, foreign licenses and Swedish traffic rules, based on what Trafikverket (the Swedish Transport Administration) and Transportstyrelsen publish.
What the site does not do
drivingschool.nu is not part of Trafikverket or Transportstyrelsen. You cannot book a test, a lesson or a course here: tests are booked with Trafikverket, and lessons and courses directly with the school.
Corrections
If a school’s details, a price or a rule on the site is wrong, write to [email protected] and name the page. We then correct that page.
